Academic Projects

Course Project: Application of ARIMA Model on Prediction of Dow Jones Industrial Index (PSTAT 174 Time Series)                                                                       Dec. 2021

  • Selected the data set from the R package “TSDL”, the average weekly closing price of the US Dow Jones Industrial Index from July 1971 to August 1974, with 162 observations
  • Used the “T-series” package of R language to establish the ARIMA model for the weekly average closing price sequence of the Dow Jones Industrial Index
  • Drew ACF and PACF diagram to determine the order of the model

Research on Mobile Phone Brand Choice Tendency and Influencing Factors in China Jun.2018-Sept.2018

  • Designed a questionnaire and get 200+ valid questionnaires by sampling survey
  • Analyzed the impact factors of mobile phone brand selection by R, using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis
